About this item: Jay "Sparky" Longley contemplated making sandals in his Laguna Beach garage in 1972. With only 200 dollars, he purchased a sewing machine and some rubber to begin his mission of creating the best sandals. Rainbow Sandals, Inc was officially established in 1974, and today, we produce 2 million pairs a year. Our goal has always been to create a high-quality product that doesn't contribute to landfill waste. Even after our sandals leave the store, our commitment to sustainability continues. Our Rainbow Sandals Factory Outlet remains at the same location in San Clemente, CA, after 48 years.
