From the brand Contemplated in 1972, Jay "Sparky" Longley tested making sandals in his Laguna Beach garage. He started Rainbow Sandals with a goal of making the best sandal, officially establishing Rainbow Sandals, Inc. in 1974. Today, the company produces 2 million pairs of sandals a year. The company's goal has always been to create a quality product that does not end up in a landfill, and this commitment continues beyond the point of sale. The Rainbow Sandals Factory Outlet remains located at 326 Calle de Los Molinos, San Clemente, CA. Jay R Longley, Jr. says, "All our customers say, 'I love my Rainbow Sandals,' and I hope you will too."
We love hearing the stories people write us about the countless miles they have walked in our sandals. Our philosophy at Rainbow Sandals is to "Repair, Reuse, Recycle." It is a philosophy we hope you share too. - Jay "Sparky" Longley
Product Description What is the difference between single layer and double-layer sandals? Both sandals have arch support, but the double-layer sandals have an extra layer that raises the heel of the sandal 5/16th of an inch, making them suitable for people with high arches or those who wear insoles.
What if I’m in-between sizes?
Our sizing chart takes half sizes into consideration for our styles that use the layered construction range, but if you find yourself in between sizes, then we suggest sizing down.
How do I break in my sandals? Some customers have reported wedging a tennis ball or water bottle under the straps overnight helps them stretch. Wearing socks will help protect your skin while the straps mold to your foot. Start with 5 mins & work your way up, allowing your feet to adjust.
How do I clean my sandals? Some customers have reported that wiping down their sandals with a damp cloth and light soap is helpful. Please be aware Rainbow Sandals Agreement does not cover water damage or delamination of layers that is the result of cleaning your sandals.
My leather sandals got wet, what should I do?
Make sure the sandals dry entirely out of the sun to make sure the leather doesn’t get brittle and crack. You may find them curl up after they dry in direct sunlight or extreme heat. With continued use, they should flatten out and get back to normal.
